Timberland® warranty policy
Since 1973, Timberland has been committed to offering the finest products, using only the best materials and applying strict quality control standards. Timberland products (the “Product(s)”) are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for 12 months from the original date of purchase. Our warranty is an expression of our confidence in the material and workmanship of our company's Products, and assures unsurpassed quality for rugged, dependable Products. Because Timberland cannot control the quality of Products sold by unauthorized sellers, this warranty applies only to Products that were purchased from Timberland or a Timberland authorized seller, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Timberland reserves the right to reject warranty claims from purchasers for Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites. This warranty does not apply to the effects of normal wear and tear, nor does it apply to Products that have been damaged by misuse, neglect, accident modification or unauthorized repair. This warranty is limited to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred.
If, upon inspection, we determine that the Product is defective, we reserve the right to replace the Product or issue you a credit, depending on the nature of the defect. There are no warranties which extend beyond those stated herein. Any implied warranties that may be applicable to the Products, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the duration of this warranty. Some States do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. Under no circumstances shall Timberland be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages based upon breach of this warranty, breach of contract, or strict liability. Some States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty is only available in the United States and Canada. This warranty does not apply to the following:
- Effects of normal wear and tear
- Damage due to misuse or neglence
- Accidental modification
- Unauthorized repair

If your Warranty Claim is accepted we do not require that you return the product to us. Once approved, we will be happy to credit you the amount paid on your receipt to use toward another product in the form of an eGift card.
If you purchased your item from Timberland.com or a Timberland store and it is within our 30-day return policy, there is no cost. If purchased from a Timberland® authorized retailer, the cost of your return is up to the retailer's return policy. If outside of our return window and your warranty claim is accepted, the product does not need to be returned.
If you bought your product from Timberland.com or a Timberland store:
And it has been less than 30 days since your purchase, please return it following our Return Policy and make sure to select 'Item was defective' as return reason. If the 30-day return period has expired, please submit an online warranty claim here and a customer service agent will get back to you within 5-7 business days. Please ensure that the returned products are in clean condition.
If you bought your product from a Timberland® authorized retailer:
If within the retailer's return policy, you must return the item(s) to the authorized Timberland® retailer where you purchased the product(s) together with a valid receipt or other acceptable proof of purchase (as determined in Timberland’s discretion). The store will explain the applicable procedure and timing to you. If outside of the retailer's return policy, please submit an online warranty claim here and a customer service agent will get back to you within 5-7 business days. Please ensure that the returned products are in clean condition.
