To mark the 50th anniversary of our iconic boot from 1973, we’ve assembled a team of Future Makers to reimagine the bold look of Timberland through their own lens. Brooklyn-based contemporary artist Nina Chanel Abney brings a bold, distinctive capture of culture and politics to her designs. Each design starts with research followed by photos and ultimately hand-drawn artwork that is then transformed into graphics for knits or prints. While Abney was working at our headquarters in New Hampshire, her initial sketches were inspired by the colors and fabrics that surrounded her. Artwork resulting from those sketches can be found on this wool cap. Featuring a blended composition with embroidered and felt graphics, the adjustable leather backstrap ensures a comfortable fit.
