THE RESULTS ARE IN. ECO-LOVE WINS!
While we’re devoted to being green and doing good all year long, this Valentine’s day we can’t deny feeling a little extra eco-love. Did you know that 4 out of 5 Americans dig it when someone practices eco-conscious behaviors?
Not only does it change the world for the better, but it can change your relationship, or chance for a relationship, for the better, too. This February, we’re looking at the stats and they’re showing us that green truly is the new red.
WANNA GO OUT…SIDE?
Finding the one could be as simple as taking a stroll in the park. Nearly 60% of people say that they fall for those who spend time outdoors, whether that’s engaging in a hardcore game of rugby or just taking a stroll in the park. If your local park is a little far from your own backyard, you just might meet someone on the drive over. More than one in ten men, and nearly as many women, say they’d like to meet someone during a ride share.
GRAB A GOOD GIFT
Is that lingerie organic? While searching for the perfect gift this year, keep in mind that 1 out of 5 eco-lovers would appreciate organic lingerie, or clothes and shoes made from recycled materials for their closet. Pssst…our original Earthkeeper boots make a great gift! And they are made using recycled rubber and recycled plastic bottles.
VOLUNTEER FOR LOVE
Having heart might just be the key to someone else’s. 26% of Americans say they find those who volunteer for environmental causes attractive – 36% even say they would like to meet a potential soulmate at a volunteer or service event. Time to pull on those boots!
As Earthkeepers, good is at the heart of everything we do – whether that means making our products more responsibly, or making our communities stronger. Doing good can also be a way to help make a love connection with someone who shares your values. After all, sustainability is in style. You never know how much of an impact you could have when you make an effort to care for our environment and community – and you never know who you might meet along the way.
This data is part of the results of the 2018 Timberland Eco-Love Survey. We surveyed 1,000 men and women about common green behaviors to understand the importance of being eco-conscious in finding true love.
