After launching our waterproof Original Yellow Boot™ in 1973, we knew we could go further. In 1978 we used hand-stitching techniques and premium leathers to craft 3-eyelet boat shoe uppers - and combined them with our rugged boot lug outsoles.

Our 3-Eye Lug Handsewn was born in 1978 from the combination of our lugged boot outsoles and hand-stitched, 3-eye leather uppers. Today we make every pair with Better Leather, which is sourced from tanneries rated Silver or higher by the Leather Working Group (LWG) for their enviromental practices.
Sourced from a tannery rated Gold or Silver by the Leather Working Group, a multi-stakeholder auditing group, for its water, energy, and waste management practices.

We're bringing one of our most comfortable and eco-conscious experiences to boat shoes. We began with naturally comfortable GreenStride™ soles made of 75% renewable sugar cane and natural rubber from trees, with EVA-blend foam midsoles adding even more cushiony comfort. As part of our Earthkeepers® Edition collection, this style is made of Regenerative Leather, which is sourced from farms whose practices help pull carbon from the air and store it in the soil, where it actually does some good.
Sourced from farms that use regenerative agricultural practices which give the land a rest so it can absorb carbon, retain water and restore biodiversity to pastures where cattle graze.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Juan Veloz is a self-taught photographer whose bold, authentic approach is closely tied to his Dominican heritage. In fact, Veloz became known for photographs capturing the authentic identity and personality of his subjects — initially people from his local community. Since those early days in New York, Veloz has moved to LA and collaborated with some of the most prominent names in fashion, music and arts: from Vogue to Dior, Wonderland to Nike. In his work, Veloz is committed to equality, representing the voices and narratives that are often missing in contemporary media landscape. It is this commitment that shapes Veloz’s visual language, where honesty, cultural identity and authenticity take centre stage.

Kealamakia Naihe
Kealamakia Naihe is a Hawaiian-born surfer, model and artist, currently living in Los Angeles. Coming from a family whose lineage can be traced to the Kingdom of Hawaii, Naihe’s identity is deeply tied to the island’s heritage and its nature. A professional career in surfing was interrupted by an injury at 19, which led him to reevaluate his relationship to the sport. Embracing a life outside of competition, Naihe enjoys the connection that surfing makes to the natural environment. He has, unsurprisingly, become an environmental advocate, using his voice to raise awareness about ocean pollution. While Naihe has also built a prolific career in fashion and journalism, it is this deep commitment to environmental advocacy that sets him apart from his peers.

A native New Yorker, Lysa Cooper is an icon of contemporary culture, having worked across arts, fashion and hospitality in her long and multifaceted career. In the 1980s, Cooper's unique perspective defined the NY nightlife scene, bringing together diverse communities of creatives who shaped the zeitgeist of the period.
With change as a constant in Cooper’s life, she brought her insatiable curiosity and sense of unpredictability to a new career as a stylist, working with revolutionary figures such as Mary J. Blige, Kanye West and Rihanna, as well as photographer Ellen von Unwerth. Cooper believes that seeking visual experiences should be a foundational element of everyday life, and this is borne out through a raw, unfiltered aesthetic which permeates her life and work.
