How To Exchange

Exchanging Online Purchases

 

We provide a size exchange service for all eligible online purchases. You have a period of 30 days from the date of delivery to request an exchange. If the desired size is available, we will reserve it immediately. From that moment, you will have 5 days to return the original item at one of our designated drop-off locations.

Please ensure that all returned items are in their original condition and include all original labels.

Once your return has been received and processed at our distribution center, the replacement item will be shipped to you promptly and at no additional cost.

If the return is not dropped off or handed to the carrier within the specified timeframe, the reserved item will be released and made available to other customers.

 

How to Exchange Steps:

 

1. Start Your Exchange

If you have a Timberland account, log in and go to your order history to initiate the exchange process.
If you purchased as a guest, click on the Track My Order link, enter your 8 digit order number and the email address you used on your order. Once you are in the Order Details Page click on the "Start or manage an exchange" button.

 

2. Choose the item you want to exchange

To complete the size exchange order, you will need to:
1. Select the item(s) you want to exchange from your order.
2. Choose your new size—if available, we will reserve it for you right away.
3. Select your return method and send the original item back. You can find more information on the return process here.
Please ensure that your return is dropped off or handed to the carrier within 5 days of initiating the exchange process. Otherwise, the reserved size will be released and may no longer be available.

 

3. Receive updates

You will be able to track your size exchange until your replacement item has been shipped and your new size is on its way to you.
You will receive email updates as soon as we receive your original item and begin processing the exchange. 
This might take up to 2-3 business days from the moment we receive your return.
If there is anything wrong with the item you have sent back (e.g. products not corresponding to your purchase, products returned with a decreased commercial value, etc.), we will inform you via email.

 

4. Receive your new size 

Once your return has been checked and approved by our quality team, we will ship your new size to the same address as your original order. From the moment you hand your return to the carrier, the entire exchange process can take up to 14 days.

 

Note: Exchanges must be made in the same country or region where the original order was placed, and items must be returned in their original condition—unworn, unused, with all original tags and packaging intact.
