LOVE YOUR BOOTS? 4 TIPS FOR TAKING CARE OF THEM

YOUR BOOTS’ NEW BEST FRIEND

Timberland boots are made to be lived in. They’re made for city streets and boardwalk wanders, adventures off the beaten path and exploring new cities. Yet with time, even the most carefully crafted boots will show signs of wear and tear. While these marks add character, nobody wants water stains or scratched suede.

Luckily, we can show you how to clean your boots at home with our specially designed balms, foams and brushes.

Balm Proofer™ All Purpose Protector

Balm Proofer™ All Purpose Protector restores water repellency and protects against stains on most fabrics and leathers. The water-based, low-solvent formula means it’s easy on the environment while providing tough protection. Use on heavy duty boots like these Euro Hikers or a pair of Earthkeepers Original Leather 6-inch Boots. To use, spray product evenly from a distance of 6-8 inches until entire surface is covered and allow product to completely dry. Apply on day of purchase, and for everyday wear, apply once a week thereafter.

Tip: Use a hair dryer to expedite drying.

Dry Cleaning Kit

Our boots were designed to get dirty, that’s why we developed this Dry Cleaning Kit to get them clean again. This buffing bar and nylon brush set removes dirt and erases stains from suede and nubuck to help keep your 6-inch Premium Waterproof Boots fresh. Use the brush to remove loose or dried dirt, then rub the cleaner bar on any stained or affected areas. Buff with the brush to raise the nap.

Tip: One way to increase the effectiveness of the eraser bar is to add water to the bar and then use on the stained area.

Renewbuck™ Suede and Nubuck Cleaner

Give your 6-inch Premium Boots some TLC by buffing them back to pristine condition with our Renewbuck™ Suede and Nubuck Cleaner. This water-based foam formula is specifically formulated for use on our high quality suede and nubuck products. To use, remove loose surface dirt with a brush or crepe bar and use a clean, dry cloth to apply foam cleaner to the entire affected area – then go over it again with a clean cloth to remove any excess. Finally, brush again to restore the nap.

Tip: Don’t spot clean as it may cause slight shade variances.

Waximum™ Waxed Leather Protector

Repeated drenching from rainstorms (or puddle-hopping) can make leather dry and cracked. Restore smooth leather like that of our 6-inch Heritage Waterproof Boots to a soft, supple condition by using a cloth and massaging Waximum™ Waxed Leather Protector into the grain. It will ensure that your boots remain breathable while keeping your feet dry.

Tip: Use on oiled and waxed leathers (not recommended for suede or nubuck leathers) – simply rub into the leathers using a clean cloth. Do not buff.

Treat your boots right and they will not only be your favorite go-to, all-season pair, but they’ll stay that way for years to come.
