STRATHAM, NH (OCTOBER 10, 2012) – Timberland today announced plans for the June 2013 relocation of its New York City showroom, just steps from stylish and eclectic Union Square. The new showroom will provide an open space to highlight Timberland’s eco-conscious outdoor lifestyle footwear and apparel, including the Earthkeepers® collection. True to its commitment to environmental stewardship, the showroom will feature environmentally-minded elements such as recycled and reclaimed materials.
Located on the seventh floor of 104 Fifth Avenue in an elegant building among premium retailers, restaurants and apartments, the 9,500-square foot showroom will provide an ideal setting to highlight Timberland’s footwear and apparel, providing an open-space feeling and the ability to view the entire collection as a cohesive product offering.
“Timberland jumped at the opportunity to move our showroom to the hustle and bustle of Union Square,” said Diane Woods, vice president and general manager of North America, Timberland. “We’re excited to provide buyers with a new space to view our beautifully crafted leathers and heritage-inspired gear, including our eco-minded Earthkeepers® collection.”
Timberland will join other innovative brands at the new location, including Apple, Net-a-Porter and Yelp.
Timberland’s current showroom, located at 24 West 57th Street, will continue to house the latest footwear and apparel styles until the Union Square space opens in June. This includes the brand’s new Fall 2013 apparel collection, which will be unveiled to the trade in January.
