Recycled Brooklyn: Craft Beers

Craft Beers in New York City

Some of the best brewed in the city

An ice cold beer tastes so much better when you’ve earned it. Take on your own upcycling project then kick back with one of these amazing craft beers, brewed right in the heart of NYC.

Brooklyn Brewery

It all started with their flagship Brooklyn Lager, but the portfolio of Brooklyn Brewery has grown to a wide-ranging collection of beers. Always keeping an eye on traditional brewing techniques, its award-winning and eclectic Brewmaster helps this New York favorite stay on top. Give it a try at the Mash Tour which concludes in Austin in November. Join us at the festival for live music, Great Beer Debates and Secret Suppers (for more info visit here).

Other Half

Founded just last year, Other Half makes craft beers for draft consumption, bottles, and cans in limited release. Not only have their brews caused quite a stir and attracted a cult following, but the duo get extra points thanks to their affection for Brooklyn and determination to keep their brewery in New York.

Grimm Artisanal Ales

This nomadic brewery was founded by Joe and Lauren Grimm after nearly a decade of tinkering with fermentation. The couple develop each recipe in their kitchen at home then travel to breweries to craft their beers. Each batch is a limited-edition release that may never come around again.

Third Rail Beer

Driven by a passion for the endless pursuit of quality, honoring brewing heritage, and pride in the culture and community of New York, Third Rail Beer makes brilliant beverages using its own recipes, techniques, and favorite ingredients on equipment lent to them by brewery friends.

Sixpoint Brewery

Named after the six-pointed Brewer’s star (an ancient symbol of beer brewing) this Red Hook- based establishment has deep roots in craft beer heritage. Since 2004, it's formulated hundred of craft brews and strives to combine traditional methods with unbridled innovation – most notably seen in the Cycliquids and Mad Scientists Series of beers.
