Urban Greening – Chicago 2018
Thursday, September 27, 2018 • 8:30am to 3:00pm CDT
The Blue Island Corridor • S Blue Island Ave & S Racine Ave, Chicago, IL 60608
The Student Conservation Association (SCA) and Timberland have teamed up to transform Chicago's Ward 25 on September, 27th 2018.
Located in the heart of the Windy City, Blue Island Corridor is an ideal gathering spot for the local community. This area provides vital green space for the nearby senior resident center, schools, homes, and police and fire departments. The center of Blue Island Corridor reveals an abandoned lot with great potential to serve as a grassy reprieve. SCA and Timberland have teamed up to lead the fight for urban greening by transforming this vacant lot into a pocket park and revamping the surrounding green spaces for the community to enjoy for years to come.
Come serve with us on September 27th and be entered to win a $500 Timberland gift card! Hard workers will be rewarded - one winner will be chosen at the end of the day by random drawing. You must be registered, signed in and present at drawing to win.
