In the spirit of giving: Timberland x Habitat for Humanity
This year, our country has been impacted by numerous disasters that have left communities and families in need of safe and secure housing. This holiday season, we’ve partnered with Habitat for Humanity to assist in rebuilding or repairing homes damaged and destroyed by the hurricanes that hit Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico. The recovery process in these areas will take months and years – and we’re working with Habitat to focus on helping the long-term recovery of low-income families impacted by these disasters.
Habitat has set a goal to raise $100 million to help more than 6,000 families through repairs, new construction, and shelter kits. At its core, Habitat’s mission is focused on helping families build strength, stability and independence through housing. Demand for intact housing is very high and leads to higher prices in the disaster-affected areas, which greatly impacts low-income families.
Between November 27 and December 31, we invite you to join us in our support of Habitat for Humanity’s efforts to help families rebuild in these areas. You can donate in Timberland stores at check out, or online at: habitat.org/timberland/2017hurricanes. Your donations will have double the impact since Timberland will match donations received in-store or through that link up to a total of $10,000.
