I originally purchased a pair of these shoes in black and then decided to get another pair in cognac. I'll probably buy another pair in black when the original ones wear out. (I've had them for two years already.) The size is based upon dress shoes and not athletic shoes (order 1/2 size smaller than athletic shoes.)
