Since 1993 I have owned 5 pairs of the Classic Trekker Chukka. They are durable, stylish, comfortable, and versatile. Usually for 2 to 3 years I wear them inside as causal dress shoes. Then I wear them around the house for yard work, projects, and wet weather. I even used them to roof my house. The Gore-tex keeps my feet cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The sole and tread is aggressive enough to wear for light hiking and outdoor applications.
My only suggestion is to make other variations and colors of the Trekker with Gortex. Your Industrial Hikers are a great idea but not offered in Goretex. I do condition my Trekkers once or twice a year which darkens the color. I like the darkened color better than the redish color before I darken them. They represent a quality and versatility not found in most shoes

why don't you make the shoe in black as well as the brown. I am on my fourth pair but would really like a black pair. I am retired and love to wear the shoes with casual slacks and jeans.

I usually wear them 2-3 years at my day job which is inside. They look like causal dress shoes but are more supportive. Then I wear them as work boots for yard work, projects, and wet weather. I even used them roofing my house. They are outstanding. The Gore tex keeps my feet cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Please continue to make this shoe and create other variations of this shoes with Gore-tex. I must admit that I do put silicone, or leather preservative which darkens the color. I like the darkened color better than the redish color. I usually polish or treat them once or twice a year but with this, they are truly an outstanding product. They represent a higher level of quality not found in many shoes. It is this excellence which has helped build a positive reputation for Timberland.

I have owned these Chukkas for 10 yrs now, numerous trips to Alaska - (Summertime Fishing), Trail Hiking, and general use around the house.

They are starting to show a liitle wear on the Soles, but thats because I'm hard on them and weigh over 250 lbs. I use the old Kiwi mink oil on them every couple of months and they clean up beautiful.

I would certainly buy another pair, if I ever need to?

I have owned these Chukkas for 10 yrs now, they include numerous trips to Alaska - (Summertime Fishing), Trail Hiking and General purpose around the house use.

They are starting to show some wear on the soles, but that's because im hard on them and weigh over 250 Lbs. I use the the old Kiwi mink oil rub every few months and they clean up beautiful.

I haven't worn my current pair in atleast 10 years. Saw them a few months ago and tried them on, stiff at first but they loosend up after a couple of hours. They now feels as good as they did when i bought them 20 years ago. In fact they used to sell a black version. I've used them for almost everything, social occasions, work, hanging out, etc. Stylish and tough. It's like finding an old friend.

in love with it after the first day of
wearing it to work, its not to heavy
and has the duribality of a boot. It has
held up great in my job i do alot of dirty
