In addition to our core footwear
offering, Timberland has developed an integrated
collection of apparel and accessories to complement a
global lifestyle. The apparel division designs,
develops, merchandises and licenses seasonal collections
of clothing, outerwear and accessories for men, women
and kids.
This division is responsible for
timberland.com. This includes all merchandise, corporate
content, and retailing on our web site. As part of
Consumer Direct, we work together with Timberland®
Retail Stores to enhance the Timberland shopping
experience.
This
division provides overall management and support
services for our retail stores and retail senior
leadership team which includes marketing, merchandising,
planning and allocation, finance, operations and human
resources.
This division deals
with the day-to-day operations of over seventy Specialty
and Outlet stores located throughout the United States
and Puerto Rico.
Information Systems, Legal, Human
Resources, Audit, Treasury, Business Planning-Corporate
Development, Financial Operations, and Global Business
Alliances.
This area of the business provides
corporate support functions to our Timberland community
including Internal Audit, Human Resources, Facilities
and Legal.
Global Business Alliances is also an
important function of the organization providing support
services in the areas of employee health and safety,
environmental affairs, evaluation and reengineering of
internal processes in order to improve speed and
service, ensuring Timberland's source factories provide
safe, non-discriminatory environments for workers, and
developing community investment programs for overseas
workers.
The Finance organization provides both
corporate business support (Corporate Accounting,
Treasury, Credit, A/P, A/R, Payroll) as well as
financial control, analysis, business development and
planning for designated business unit partners.
Our Information
Systems department partners with our business leaders to
develop technology solutions to meet our business
objectives. Our team provides global business support in
an AS/400 and Unix environment using the following
applications: BPCS, TBS, IP, PDM, PKMS, Manugistics, and
Hyperion.
Our footwear
division incorporates all aspects of research, design,
development, engineering and merchandising for all
categories of footwear across each Strategic Business
Unit.
Timberland operates in a global
marketplace with wholly owned subsidiaries and regional
offices in Europe, Asia and Canada. A specific team
within our Stratham, NH corporate headquarters is
dedicated to our international operations. Other
divisions in Stratham also support our international
business.
This team ensures that our products meet
the needs of our consumers and then creates advertising
and POS that tell our compelling story. This division
includes Brand Management and Global Marketing
Solutions.
The Social
Enterprise group helps drive our vision of becoming a
model for corporate social responsibility and includes
our involvement with City Year and The Path of Service™
Program and more.
Our
NAW (North American Wholesale) team sells Timberland®
footwear and apparel to a variety of retail channels -
from National Athletic and Independent Accounts to
Department and Sport Specialty stores.
Footwear and Apparel Sourcing, Supplier
Relations, Distribution-Transportation, Warehousing and
Supply Chain Management, and Customer
Operations.
Provides
support and information on order processing for
consumers and customers, both internally and
externally.
Provides direction and support to the
management and movement of all Timberland® products.
Provides
domestic process direction and support for the Footwear
and Apparel Production organizations overseas.
Responsible for
partnering with materials and service suppliers to
ensure the most cost effective and timely procurement of
high quality leathers, non-leather materials, office
supplies and services.
