A Shared Vision
Who we are as a company is shaped by the people who work here, those that help us make and sell our products, the communities where we live and work, and the people who buy Timberland® products. It’s a big group. A diverse group. A team.

Review quarterly metrics, join the online community and give your feedback.

Transparency & Accountability
We’re guided by four values—humanity, humility, integrity and excellence. It’s that simple. And that important.

These values are not negotiable. We’re a publicly traded company so the people we answer to are as numerous and diverse as the world we live in. Our stakeholders include employees, customers, communities, shareholders, suppliers, factory workers, non-profit organizations, media, the civic and political sectors, and business colleagues. Groups or individuals who can affect—or are affected by—how well we achieve our objectives in both commerce and justice.

Our stakeholders speak up and challenge us, share their vision, and inspire conversation, collaboration and innovation. We welcome their feedback and ideas, and we interact with transparency and accountability.

They’re making a difference. Our stakeholders contributed directly to the creation of the industry-leading Green Index™ rating and the material issues included in our Corporate Social Responsibility Report.

In late 2006, an industry-first Facility Report on our factory in the Dominican Republic became the foundation of a two-day, eighty person stakeholder dialogue meeting in Santiago. Facilitated by a local non-governmental organization (NGO), the forum focused on our factory’s role in the community and identified critical issues and opportunities for collaboration. As we write this, these efforts are continuing, and strategies for change are being implemented.
